The previous post on May 25, “Praying in God’s Waiting Room” was a spontaneous piece created after two weeks of literally “praying in God’s waiting room”. Early this morning God answered my prayers for release of this family member, hearts are heavy and never will there be a “good” time…because we are never ready for this, but now those who loved him must be in life as strong as he was in death. Now, we must prepare to say goodbye to one who was loved. Thank you followers for allowing this venue for those words. ajm

In the past, I have tried
to be open-minded, to respect
the other’s right to their
opinion and lifestyle. At times,
though, I have crossed the line,
too willing to give the person
the benefit of the doubt, to
allow them to blame me. Was
it a need to please rather than
a virtue? Was I unsure of my
own boundaries, thus could not
keep others from crossing them?
Today I know better who I am
and what I am willing to accept.
Doormat style has be abandoned,
replaced by a knowing of my
personal worth. Thank-goodness!

There comes a time in a person’s life when it’s time to cleanse
Get the clutter out of their life, be able to see… think clearly
Clutter being material things… clutter being negative people
Time to let go of things unneeded, things that take up space
People who are negative… people who deceive us as friends
People who are unhealthy for us …. who use us when needed
Time to let go of people who pretend they are family, care
People who latch onto us, if they think we are somebody
Unlatch from us… if we are not
What better time to cleanse our life from all the riff-raff
Let go of all the things that take up space, cause us grief

I am not going to make this long. I will just say that Al has not felt good for a few days. In his words, he says he fills funky. He has not eaten well for a few days. Today at his Day Program he blacked out and fell forward.
The Hospice Nurse just left our house. I want to take her simple and polite words and dissect them to death but I have to remain sane. I knew something wasn’t right when she made me leave Al’s room to talk to me.
I can still hear her words exact. ” Has he been talking about dead people? Has he mentioned anything about not being here long or taking a trip? I couldn’t find a pulse but did find a weak one in his feet. He may sleep a lot now. If he doesn’t want to eat or take his…
