Believing in God creates an everyday fight
between the mind and spirit; a fight that feels
like a predator riding beneath the clouds
hovering ready to pounce on its prey, life.
Believing that God has set down in life’s book
a predestine path to walk is a struggle between
faith and doubt.
The disbelief in God leaps out of the undergrowth
of insecurity and becomes a poison racing through
the veins of trust, and the pathway through life
becomes lost in a thicket of mistrust and betrayal.
Get off that path… In the realms of God’s majesty
is the wondering world we live in, the heavens are
the air we breathe, and the joys of life.
Stop being a victim, create your own joy, measure
your blessing, and do not let the predators define
who you are, you can believe in God without proof.
The injustices placed in your path are lessons,
resist learning and you will miss the delights placed
in your true path.

I´m a Christian(probably not the best of all) and apart from being a beautiful poem, it resonates with me since I have a lot of doubts sometimes. Yet again I can argue “rationally” let´s say for example why do I suffer from severe pancreatitis? I can argue that God has thrown at me the last chance as in saying you keep living the life you lived and you´ll be entering my kingdom soon, you still have better things and give more to others in Earth. I can always find a rational when I envelop myself under his wing. So I guess it´s just faith, you either have it or you don´t, or in my case sometimes I question it and sometimes I don´t since my time should have been up from a while back. So maybe somebody is out there since I myself I´m quite disturbed as how I managed to get out of those situations.
I as well, always wondering “who” is in control? I certainly hope that “something” bigger than I is pointing me in the right direction, I would dislike knowing that as you say situations were not meant to be. Have a great day Charly and thank you for the wonderful comment. Ann …contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
